Birth Control Myths
Birth Control I feel is a great method if you plan on being sexually active and don't want to have unwanted pregnancies. I didn't say if you want to avoid gettting an STD use birth control because this will not be effective. There are so many misconceptions about birth control that I want to either prove or disprove that they are true. My parents lectured and lectured about the bad things birth control can cause, but I disagree with their teachings. I've never been on the pill yet, mainly due to what they've said and the reaction that they had once they found out my sister was on it. Now that I'm older and don't plan on having kids, and if so not til I'm married and around 30; I feel I would like to at least research what birth control has to offer and what kind of REAL consequences can occur from the pill. Hopefully this will be a good topic that will prove to be enlightening for me as well as for others. If I don't find the information I need, then I will have to look at other possible topics; like maybe how caffeine keeps the body up and how energy drinks work better than coffee, but may or may not be worse for you.
